Classy wrap applied by customer EL
Customer EL from Singapore @celam2000 sent us this image of a wrap he’d applied to his Tourmalet box – love it!
HS’s Ventoux MTB box
US customer sent us this image of his customised Ventoux MTB box leaving the aircraft in Colorado – he says:
“My trip to Colorado to participate a MTB race was accompanied by Ventoux MTB box. Couldn’t be happier that no damage inside out the box and my bike was safely transported through one of the roughest baggage handling among all airports.”
Thanks HS!
Gail’s Ventoux MTB feedback
UK customer Gail has a Ventoux MTB uniquely set up for her Cannondale Lefty – here’s here feedback after her first trip with the box:
I just wanted to let you know that I have returned from a MTB holiday in The Pyrenees. My bike box had its first outing. I am so delighted with it. The whole process of packing was so simple and secure. I had complete peace of mind whilst it was in transit with Easy Jet 😬. Thank you so much, it was worth every penny. I am now promoting you big time to all my cycling comrades.
Thank you Gail!
Dave’s Tourmalet “Erik”
Dave R named his Tourmalet after Erik Zabel’s green jersey (sadly it didn’t make Dave any faster).
After returning from his trip to Europe Dave said:
“I love natural metal and anodised finishes but on a whim opted for a Tourmalet in Buxumbox’s Enhanced Powder Coat finish. It looked stunning on arrival – but how long would that last? It turns out I needn’t have worried. After two flights and a 100 mile airport transfer lying on its side in a builder’s gritty van following a rental car debacle the finish unbelievably still looks brand new. Fantastic piece of kit!”
Dave’s Tourmalet is finished in RAL6018 Yellow Green
Steve G’s Ventoux Road box
Customer Steve G has just returned from Greece and provided this review:
I wanted a super-sturdy bike box that doesn’t require removing road bike handlebars. The Ventoux checks off all of the boxes! My first trip with the box included flying transatlantic and a bit of Greek island hopping. One island involved walking from the ferry port to our villa (3.4km roundtrip) on sometimes rough tarmac. The wheels had zero issues rolling and no sign of wear! Every aspect of the Ventoux is very carefully thought out and am very impressed; you get what you pay for. Looking forward to lots more travels with the Buxumbox.
Thanks Steve!
Jeff’s Ventoux Road
UK customer Jeff dropped us this line after his first trip with his new Ventoux Road.
“Just as the sign says – special equipment for sure. I had not anticipated a new phenomenon to appear on my new Buxumbox first outing to Mallorca – namely ‘Bikebox envy’. The attention and questions that i got re new box was amazing.”
Jeff’s box is finished in custom colour RAL3007 Black Red.
Martin’s Tourmalets
Martin kindly sent in this image of his pair of Tourmalets in Gran Canaria – the view is from their Teror base looking up to Pico de Las Nieves at 1949 metres altitude.
A great image of some well-travelled boxes!
John H’s Tourmalet box
John kindly sent us this image from his trip from the US to Germany and Austria – delayed by three years due to you-know-what.
Congratulations John for getting there eventually!
Gary’s long-term review
This from Gary, owner of two 2015 and 2017 Tourmalets.
“A good friend has been asking about transporting bikes. We have always used a Buxumbox bike box on our travels.. Grateful to the team there for helping out when needed.. The older of the two boxes recently completed 50 flights.. collecting more patina on its way!”
These images are testament to how these boxes stand up to multiple years of frequent travel.
