Santiago is based in New York and travels with a S-Works Tarmac. This is what he had to say about his Tourmalet box:
“It arrived on Friday. Did a test packing, just to see. Wow! Super fast and what a well-designed product. After years with a Scicon Aerotech hard case I know the Tourmalet will be a breeze to travel with, likely fits into cars with more ease!”
The box is just magnificent; a piece of art!!
The design appears to have considered every detail, manufacturing quality is excellent and finish is great.
Those points don’t come through completely on the website as the box is even better in real life.
Definitely worth the wait – now looking forward to get a chance to use it and show it off.
Ben is an airline pilot who takes his bike on long-haul trips from his Australian base. His beautiful new Caffin S&S bike needed the best protection, hence Ben opted for our Galibier model – the box that’s small enough to qualify as a suitcase and therefore avoid excess baggage fees.
And oh, check out his garage floor – clean enough to eat your dinner off!
“I made the decision to purchase a Ventoux MTB BuxomBox as I travel frequently & need a quality hard case not only for peace of mind but because my cycle insurance requires it. I contacted the company with a few questions before I put in my order. Correspondence was quick, extremely helpful & all queries were dealt with efficiently. I even had a few issues with the design of the box that they assisted with. I put my order in & was excited to see what it would look like.
Upon delivery the box was packaged safely. I was & am still, very pleased with the service & high quality of the product. The design turned out better in person than I imagined.
Pro tip: don’t be like me; read the instructions of how to pack the bike properly on the website. I was worried at one point that the bike didn’t fit but rest assured eventually after reading the instructions it fit like a dream.
Due to Covid I haven’t managed to travel with it yet however it is making a handy storage box for the bike to keep it out of the way when I don’t ride it for a few days. It is easy to manoeuvre the box due to the wheels, which are super smooth & the bike sits extremely securely so I am confident it will travel well. I highly recommend these boxes if you are looking for a safe secure bike travel box.”
For a mountainbiker living between East Africa and Wales comes with a whole host of challenges.
Just some of the thoughts & in some case solutions I have employed (and often failed) are:
Very tempting to make a box with graphics to match Chris’s bike…
This Yeti is sitting in a Ventoux MTB box.
